Available taxonomies: EU taxonomy The TEG has been working on developing the EU taxonomy for climate change mitigation and climate change adaptation. In December 2018, the TEG published an early feedback report which contained a first set of climate change mitigation activities and their technical screening criteria, together with a call for feedback on the proposed criteria. The Taxonomy Regulation refers to the definition in Article 2 (1) of the Disclosure Regulation (EU) 2019/2088 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 November 2019 on sustainability‐related disclosures in the financial services sector. The final report on EU taxonomy, developed by the Technical Expert Group (TEG) on Sustainable Finance, contains recommendations relating to the overarching design of the Taxonomy, as well as guidance on how companies and financial institutions can make disclosures using the taxonomy. A taxonomy is a controlled vocabulary in which all the terms belong to a single hierarchical structure and have parent/child or broader/narrower relationships to other terms.
